This Mount Teide tour with cable car tickets takes you from your resort in the south of Tenerife to 3,555 metres, with the transport, the guide and the cable car all arranged for you.
The day starts with pickup by bus. Tenerife is one enormous mountain in the middle of the ocean, so the road climbs steadily towards the centre of the island and passes through several different climate zones on the way. An official guide travels with you and explains what you’re seeing as the landscape changes.
In Teide National Park, the most visited national park in Europe, your return cable car tickets are already booked, so there’s no risk of arriving to find the seats have gone. The cable car takes you up to 3,555 metres, where a digital audio guide leads you along the trails. From there you look out over Tenerife, some of the neighbouring islands and one of the most extraordinary volcanic landscapes in the world.
