Parascending in Tenerife is one of the easiest ways to see the coast from the air. You may know it as parasailing, and it’s the same thing: you’re attached to a sail and towed behind a speedboat, and like a kite, the sail and the boat’s speed lift you up to 50 metres above the water. The whole excursion takes about 45 minutes. That covers the briefing, a short ride out on a modern speedboat and the flight itself, which lasts 10 minutes. It’s calm more than it is daring. You’re floating above the sea with time to look around, which is why it works as well for children as it does for adults.
